A soup restaurant
Siete Sopas presents itself as a restaurant that celebrates the variety of Peru’s soups and regional dishes. Two soups are always on the menu: caldo de gallina, the hen broth served in Peru with its pieces of meat, noodles or rice and yellow potato, and sopa criolla, a Lima soup served with an egg and spiced with ají on the menus we consulted. The third changes with the day of the week: that is the principle of the house, which gives it its name. According to its page consulted on 7 October 2026, the week ran from Monday’s shambar, a soup of wheat and pulses from La Libertad, traditionally served on that day, to Sunday’s sancochado, including an aguadito on Saturday; this programme may change, so ask for the soup of the day on site.
A large bowl makes a meal (S/ 32.90 on the daytime menu, bread included according to the menu); a small “menú” soup (S/ 9.90) goes with a dish. The menu also has criollo classics as individual portions, including a lomo saltado at S/ 44.90, one of the cheapest on the menus noted for this guide.
Which branch, at what time
The branches have neither the same opening hours nor always the same menu:

The chain also publishes branches in shopping centres (Plaza Norte, Mall Aventura in Santa Anita, Gamarra) and in Trujillo. At night, a more expensive menu replaces the daytime menu. Give the driver the exact address of the branch.
Who it is for
For a solo traveller who wants a hot meal without booking, a family looking for simple dishes, or a late return to Miraflores. It is not a chef’s restaurant: it is an everyday place, useful for tasting the soups that people in Lima eat day to day. See the soups of Peru.

Our suggestion
A simple place for a hot meal at almost any hour: a big bowl of caldo de gallina or the soup of the day, or a criollo classic as an individual portion, with no booking.
What to ask before you go
- The soup of the day, which changes with the day of the week: the published programme may change.
- Whether the daytime or the night menu applies at the time you order.
- The opening hours of the branch you choose: they differ from one address to another, and only one branch in Lima is announced as open 24 hours a day.
