Tell us about your trip to Peru

The guide gives you the pointers; our local contacts do the rest. Tell us where you are going and when: we reply personally, with advice, a quote or the right person to call.

In short

We have local contacts in every field: guides, drivers, lodges, excursions, cooking classes, surfing, the Amazon. We keep them private and share them case by case. Write to us with your dates, the number of travellers and the stops you have in mind: we reply personally.

What you can ask us

  • Our local contacts: a guide in Cusco, a driver for the Sacred Valley, a lodge in the Amazon, a cooking class in Lima, a surf school in the north. Tell us the place and the dates.
  • A quote: have you received a price? We read it with you (entry fees, meals, guide, vehicle, times) and tell you what our partners offer for the same service.
  • An opinion on your route: several ideas without knowing how to put them together? You do not need a finished plan to write to us.
  • A specific question: a journey, a season, an altitude, a neighbourhood to stay in.
  • A correction: a price or a piece of information that has changed on the ground.

A few lines are enough. For example: “Do you have partners in Huacachina? What would you recommend?” or “There will be four of us in Cusco in May, with an eight-year-old: is this quote any good?”

Prices online, and ours

Prices shown online are for guidance only, and often far above what our partners charge. One example: a private transfer to Vinicunca (Rainbow Mountain, the mountain of 7 colours) is listed at S/ 650 online; our partner in Cusco offers the round trip from Cusco for 70 soles per person, breakfast and lunch included. We organise things case by case, depending on the season, the dates and your trip: write to us before you book.

Our local contacts

We have local contacts in every field: guides, drivers, lodges, workshops, outings. We keep them private and share them case by case, depending on your request: that is why we publish no provider pages.

How a request works

  1. You write to us: dates or flexibility, number of travellers, stops you have in mind, preferred language, rough budget and constraints.
  2. We reply personally: advice, a reading of a quote, or the contact who matches your request.
  3. If we introduce you to a provider, their written proposal specifies who they are, the service, the price, payment and cancellation. You then decide, freely.

This site takes neither bookings nor payments: everything is settled directly with the provider.

Who does what, and who gets paid

Role What it is Who is paid, and when
The introduction SwissLima introduces you to a professional and clarifies the service The provider may pay us a commission; it is disclosed to you in their proposal
Paid support Personalised organisation or a detailed opinion, with a scope defined in advance The publisher of SwissLima (see the legal notice): scope, deliverable, timescale and fees are given to you in writing before starting
The service The guide, driver, lodge or workshop that provides the service The provider, according to their payment and cancellation terms

With an introduction, your contract is with the provider. We promise neither a free service nor the “best price”, and a partnership never gives anyone a better place in the guide.
