One cebichería, several addresses
Punto Azul is a Lima seafood chain, with six published branches: three in Miraflores, one in San Isidro and two in Surco. The restaurant describes itself as “the no. 1 cevichería in Peru”: that is its slogan, not an independent ranking. The Lima press was already citing it in 2019 among the city’s places for ceviche, for its quality at an affordable price.
Reading the daytime menu
- Raw: fish ceviches (S/ 52) or mixed, tiraditos in three versions, leche de tigre.
- Fried: fish chicharrón (S/ 53), jalea.
- Rice and cooked dishes: arroz con mariscos (S/ 54), tacu tacu, grilled fish a la plancha (S/ 44), fish stuffed with ham and cheese, or “a lo macho”.
The online menu specifies neither the size of the portions nor whether taxes and service are included: ask before ordering for several people. For those who avoid raw fish, the cooked dishes are enough for a real seafood meal. See eating out.
Daytime, and evenings at San Martín
Most branches only serve at lunchtime, from 11:00 or 12:00 to 16:00 or 17:00, with closing days specific to each (often Monday). The branch at Calle San Martín 595, in Miraflores, is the only one open in the evening: Monday from 12:00 to 22:00, Tuesday to Saturday until midnight, Sunday until 16:00, with a separate evening menu. A fish lunch in Miraflores or San Isidro, with cooked dishes for those who do not eat raw fish; in the evening, only the Calle San Martín branch stays open.
